Some of the spectacular views of the local scenery taken from Heathylee and near by locations.

The Peak National Park became the first national park in 1951. It covers 555 square miles and part of six different counties. Longnor is a small village within the Peak Park about 6 miles from the spa town of Buxton . Local amenities include three pubs, Post Office, General store, chip shop and a tea room.

Near by are the market towns of Buxton (famed for its spa baths), Bakewell (where they still make the original pudding), Ashbourne (gingerbread) or Chesterfield with its crooked spire and larger department stores. Local historic houses and villages include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, Eyam known as the plague village and Tideswell with its Cathedral of the Peak.

For walkers there are many footpaths in and around the area with Chrome Hill and Parkhouse within two miles.
For those seeking excitement, Alton Towers and Heights of Abrahams are near by.
